Read this before you rely on anything here. MachVerity is a reference tool. It is not an appraisal, a title or lien search, or a theft determination. Always verify with official sources before you buy, sell, finance, or insure a machine.
Reference information only
All information on MachVerity — identity, specifications, estimated value, and title, lien, and theft indicators — is aggregated from public records, third-party data providers, and user contributions, and is provided for general informational and reference purposes only. It is provided “as is” and “as available,” may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and may change without notice.
Estimated values are not appraisals
Value figures shown on MachVerity are automated estimates generated from comparable sales data and statistical models. They are not a certified appraisal or an offer to buy or sell. Actual market value depends on many factors we may not capture, including true condition, hours or mileage accuracy, attachments, location, timing, and demand. Do not rely on these estimates for financing, insurance, tax, accounting, or transaction decisions. For a binding value, obtain a professional appraisal and inspection.
Title, lien, and theft indicators
Title, lien, and theft flags are aggregated from third-party feeds and community reports. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong.
- The absence of a flag is not a guarantee. A machine shown without a lien, theft, or title flag may still have an undisclosed lien, may have been stolen, or may have a branded or problem title.
- The presence of a flag is not proof. A flag is informational and is not a legal determination, an accusation, or evidence against any person.
- Always run official checks. Verify through manufacturer records, the relevant title and registration authority, NMVTIS for on-road vehicles, UCC and other lien filing offices, and local law enforcement for theft, before relying on status.
Serial, PIN, and VIN decoding
Decoding of serial numbers, product identification numbers, and VINs is best-effort. Equipment serial formats are manufacturer-proprietary and inconsistent, so make, model, and year may be estimated or unavailable. Verify identity against the machine’s physical data plate and manufacturer records.
No professional relationship
Using MachVerity does not create any professional, advisory, or fiduciary relationship. Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, insurance, or valuation advice.
Do your own due diligence
You are solely responsible for independently inspecting and verifying any machine before making a decision. MachVerity and its owners and contributors are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the Service, as further described in our Terms of Service.
